TEHRAN -- The film *** The Winter Piece*** directed by Farhad Mehranfar is to be screened in the competition section of the 50th Saint Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain.

The film is about an intellectual teacher sent to teach in a village located in the heights of Dalfak. The film is similar to Mehranfar's other productions, in that it is about a minority ethnic group.

According to the Public Relations Office of the Farabi Cinema Foundation, the films ***The Paper Rocket*** and ***Tree of Spirit*** directed by Mehranfar have also been screened at international festivals.

In previous years, the festival screened ***Sara*** directed by Dariush Mehrjoui and ***The Red Ribbon*** directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia.

The festival will be held from September 19 to 28.
